Today’s blog for the #BYHPChristmas Campaign about BYHP’s Santa Wish List has: Eight folding tables - for training, meetings and events We have already blogged about Unlocking Potential in this series and as part of that our facility becomes a training room which means that we need tables to sit at. We have a few but it does sometimes get a little cosy sat around the small number we have if we have a group at the maximum size of 12. Also on a Wednesday evening we hold a Peer Support group where many of our young people get together to socialise, share experiences, interact in a more relaxed atmosphere with staff and volunteers over an evening meal. When it is a really special event like when the Town Mayor joins us for tea or a very special dish, the numbers get quite high and then everyone sitting at the table to eat together becomes a logistical challenge! So, quite a simple - some might say boring item - but those extra tables would give us the flexibility to be able to comfortably accommodate everyone on the above occasions, as well as to have some extra capacity for any events we hold either inside the main part of the building or outside on the deck / in the garden. The spec of the tables is what appears to be the standard table type to be found in every community space across Banbury - schools, youth and community centres, the Town Hall etc. - those lightweight brown and aluminium tables with the tricky leg folding mechanism! Not sure if the public sector have a job lot but they seem to be the only sort of table used in this type of setting! If you would like to help us with the seventh item on our Santa Wish List, to make a donation of money please go to https://localgiving.com/charity/byhp or to donate a specific item please contact Linda.Slide@byhp.org.uk
Many Thanks & Merry Christmas.
