BYHP Trustees

Ron BarnettRon is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute who is retired following a career in Local Government.  He is an active Rotarian and a keen musician playing in several local orchestras.

He brings to BYHP a wealth of senior managerial experience and a strong commitment to helping young people achieve their maximum potential in life.

Alison GrievesAlison previously worked in supported housing for young mums as well as in Local Authority general needs housing management, and is currently working as a Housing IT Consultant.

She brings a housing background knowledge and is committed to supporting the staff and users of BYHP.

Simon SmithFCCA Qualified, Simon joined Wellers in 1986 and spent a sabbatical period at Halpern and Wolfe in 1988. Simon is timely and technical and likes to provide an enthusiastic and holistic service to his clients. Simon is the Finance Director of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce, and takes an active role in two local Charities acting as treasurer.

Simon enjoys most sports and has represented Oxfordshire at both hockey and cricket. Simon is married with one son.

Tricia CampbellTricia has been Secretary of the Town Mayor of Banbury since 1992.  As well as working with 15 different Town Mayors, she has had the pleasure of working alongside the most amazing people in and around Banbury.

As a past Area Chairman for Ladies Circle her main fund-raising efforts were for The Bridge (working with 16-25 year old homeless young people in Oxford).

BYHP is a charity close to her heart and she hopes to use her skill and knowledge to ensure the organisation continues to thrive.

Tricia Campbell

 

Julie ChanalJulie works for Adoption UK as Development Manager England – South in Banbury. This work has helped her develop a good understanding of the difficulties faced by children in the looked after sector and the effects of going through the care system on young people. Her previous role was in community education where she was responsible for, amongst other things, a number of homeless laptop projects in Oxfordshire.

Julie is mother to 3 teenage children and she has a good understanding of the needs of the BYHP client group.

Roger VerrallRoger qualified as a chemical engineer. He has worked in two multinational companies in the Pharmaceutical and Food Industries. In the 15 years before retiring he worked in the UK and Europe, providing support to the business on a wide range of European Food Legislation, Scientific and Technical issues.

He is at present a Licensed Lay Minister at St Mary’s Church with a strong focus on Pastoral aspects of ministry. As well as leading worship he is closely involved in the financial, fabric and administrative aspects of the church, and policy development.

Roger Verrall   

With his wife Margaret he has been a Nightstop Host with BYHP for the past 9 years and an ordinary member of BYHP since 2006.

Among his interests he includes walking and philately.

 

Veronica WarnerVeronica worked in career counselling and PR before moving into fundraising - at the University of Oxford and the Oxford Children's Hospital among other roles.

She brings experience to BYHP of seeking and winning support from philanthropic and other sources.
