Advice and Information
BYHP offers a wide range of advice and information for young people on everything to do with housing and any problems they might face (eg benefits, drug and alcohol issues).
Available by appointment for six hours a day, five days a week in Banbury, advice and information is provided in structured sessions focusing on finding and keeping accommodation.
Staff assist young people to sort problems out for themselves but may adopt an advocacy role in challenging local authority or benefit agency decisions. BYHP staff also use these sessions to refer young people on to other agencies for help with particular issues.
BYHP's advice & information service meets the Community Legal service Quality Mark Standard for welfare benefits, housing, young people and health and community care.
